To be eligible for services, you must be a Florida resident and have one of the following six developmental disabilities: autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities, Down syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, spina bifida, or children ages 3-5 who are at a high risk of a developmental disability.
Looking for grants and funding resources for your wheelchair accessible vehicle or mobility product purchase in Florida? Residents of Florida with mobility challenges may qualify for various state-based grants with funds that can be applied to increase the recipient's quality of life or independence. Other funding options include nonprofit organizations, which may be condition- or community-based. Most grants and funds for assistive technology will not fully cover the cost of personal accessible transportation but can be combined to help cover the cost of a wheelchair van.
