BraunAbility has been named to the 2026 Forbes Accessibility 200, recognizing global innovators advancing accessibility across mobility, technology, and the workplace. Building on last year’s inaugural Accessibility 100, this year’s expanded list reflects growing impact across industries.

The Kia PV5 E-WAV New York Taxi concept, developed in collaboration with BraunAbility, is purpose-built for the realities of New York taxi and for-hire service. This electric, ADA‑focused concept shows how future New York taxis can deliver both cleaner transportation and better access for everyone.​

BraunAbility and General Motors teamed up to unveil the next-generation BraunAbility Chevrolet Traverse. The SUV blends Chevrolet’s style with BraunAbility’s engineering to deliver seamless wheelchair access. Chevrolet marked the milestone with a donation to a deserving Veteran in front of a nationwide audience.

Marissa Bode, a wheelchair user, is the first disabled person to play Nessarose in the film adaptation of Wicked. In recognition of this milestone, BraunAbility released a video and invites audiences to learn more about the film and others that spotlight disablesd actors.

In a recent testimony before the House Veterans Affairs Subcommittee, BraunAbility Americas President Craig Schrimsher highlighted key challenges Veterans face in accessing adaptive vehicles and equipment.  This bipartisan discussion followed the passing of bill H.R. 1364.

BraunAbility’s founder, Ralph Braun, was recently featured in an episode of Blaze and the Monster Machines. The Nickelodeon TV show explores science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) topics for preschool-aged children.

Five-time Paralympian and three-time gold medalist Steve Serio, former Team USA Wheelchair Basketball Captain, visited BraunAbility. Serio toured the manufacturing plant, and spoke with team members.

The BraunAbility Chevrolet Traverse was recognized by Disability:IN as its 2023 Product of the Year. The SUV offers an alternative to the traditional wheelchair van.

AARP has highlighted BraunAbility, in its beginners guide to wheelchair accessible vehicles and adaptive equipment.

MotorTrend, an automotive media outlet,  praised the style, space and design integrity of the BraunAbility Traverse.

The U.S. Department of Transportation announced the winners of its Inclusive Design Challenge. First place went to Purdue University who partnered with BraunAbility.
