Removable Seating in Your Wheelchair Van
BraunAbility Step-and-Roll Removable Seating
Every BraunAbility side-entry power conversion comes with the ability to remove the driver or front passenger seat, allowing access for a wheelchair user to either drive or ride as a passenger in the front position. The seats are removed easily with a step-lever that releases the seat base and allows it to be rolled away for easy storage. The seat can be reinstalled at any time as well.
Removable Seating in a Handicap Van
Nearly every BraunAbility side-entry vehicle comes standard with removable front seats, called Step and Roll Seating. These seats are engineered with a lock-in seat base that is easy to remove or reinstall in a matter of minutes allowing for flexible seating arrangements.

How to Remove a Seat From a Wheelchair Van
The BraunAbility Step and Roll seating is simple to use. To remove a front seat:
- Simply remove the seat base cover, then takeout the power plug, and stow before you remove the seat.
- Now, step on the pedal behind the seat. The seat will raise onto rollers.
- Finally, just tilt the seat back, and roll the seat down the ramp.
Seat base covers are offered to hide the pedals. You can use them to keep this clean look or remove them if you’d like some extra space.
